Digital Drawing Platform

Our Creative Journey

From a small studio in Perth to Australia's leading digital creativity platform – discover the milestones that shaped our mission to unlock creative potential in every artist.

2019

The Creative Spark

Sarah Chen, a digital artist frustrated by the lack of accessible drawing education, founded tryvelomaxi in a converted warehouse space in East Perth. What started as weekend workshops for local artists quickly grew into something much bigger when we realized how many people were hungry for proper digital art instruction.

  • First 50 students enrolled in basic digital drawing courses
  • Developed signature teaching methodology combining traditional art principles with digital tools
  • Established partnerships with three local art schools
  • Created our first online tutorial series

The Vision Behind tryvelomaxi

Back in 2019, finding quality digital art education meant expensive university courses or scattered YouTube tutorials. Sarah had spent years perfecting her craft through trial and error, and she knew there had to be a better way. The idea was simple but powerful – create a structured learning environment where creativity could flourish without the usual barriers of cost, location, or intimidating academic requirements.

"I remember those early days when we had more enthusiasm than equipment. Students would bring their own tablets, we'd project lessons on a borrowed screen, and everyone learned together. That collaborative spirit is still at the heart of everything we do today." – Sarah Chen, Founder

Digital Transformation

The pandemic pushed us to completely reimagine how we delivered creative education. Instead of just moving classes online, we built an entirely new platform that made learning more interactive and community-driven than our physical workshops had ever been.

Platform Launch

Our custom learning management system went live in March 2021, featuring real-time feedback tools and peer collaboration spaces.

2,500 Active Users
150 Course Hours
95% Completion Rate

Community Growth

What surprised us most was how students formed genuine connections. Study groups, critique sessions, and collaborative projects became the norm.

  • Monthly virtual gallery exhibitions
  • Peer mentorship program launched
  • Student artwork featured in local exhibitions
  • First annual tryvelomaxi Creative Awards

National Recognition

By 2023, we'd grown from serving Perth to having students across Australia. Recognition from the Australian Design Council and partnerships with major creative software companies validated what we'd been building – a new standard for creative education.

  • Australian Creative Education Excellence Award recipient
  • 12,000+ students across all Australian states and territories
  • Partnership agreements with Adobe, Wacom, and Procreate
  • Launch of professional development programs for working artists
  • First tryvelomaxi graduate hired by Pixar Animation Studios

Looking Forward to 2026

We're not just expanding – we're evolving. The creative industry is changing rapidly, and we're committed to staying ahead of those changes while maintaining the personal touch that makes tryvelomaxi special.

  • Launch of AI-assisted creativity courses that enhance rather than replace human artistic skills
  • Opening of physical maker spaces in Melbourne and Sydney by late 2025
  • International expansion starting with New Zealand and Southeast Asia
  • Development of industry-specific programs for gaming, film, and advertising
  • Scholarship program supporting 500 underprivileged students annually
